Internet Hollywood: What’s up David?! It’s exciting to chop it up with you for the new year. It wasn’t too long from now when we did our hot topic interview for the website. It was definitely a fun one. I’m glad that we could do it again. So how did you bring in the new years and did you make a resolution?

David: What is up? Oh I dunno, a little bit of this, a little bit of that. It is always good speaking with you. I rang in the New Year by attending a Great Gatsby Costume Party at a pool hall in Vernon ( Racks). I’m a terrible billiards player and I’m grateful that I haven’t actually injured anyone when I break.

Internet Hollywood: You’re always a busy person that likes to put together things for your community and you have been doing that for years. What are some of the things you are planning this year, and are there any events?

_

David: I’ve created a series of events called the 12 Months of Steampunk, where I will have a unique and potentially annual event for each month of the year. Already I’ve had something called A Victorian Skate Fantasy, we got dressed up in steampunk and went ice skating. It was a lot of fun. Next up is the 4th Stupid Cupid Steampunk Ball on Feb 23rd in Manchester, CT. I have a band from the uk playing, a fashion show, a salsa – tango infusion performance. It’s gonna be awesome. After that, I’ll be in a parade and then a tea house crawl. Like a pub crawl but with tea.

Internet Hollywood: You have overcome many things in your journey to reach to where you are now. What is the next stage in your journey and how do you envision things turning out if you successfully achieve the things you want this year?

David: Haters are always going to hate especially if you are achieving more success than they are. I want to have a name, a brand, that is associated with good, interesting and all inclusive events.

_

Internet Hollywood: What was the biggest thing you learned last year and what have you changed about yourself or your everyday life to make sure you avoid making mistakes?

_

David: To ignore the haters and to just do what you’re doing. I’ve learned over the last couple of years that I don’t have to respond to pettiness or engage in pointless debates. The world keeps turning with or without a snarky response. Life is better without looking for fights or stress.

_

Internet Hollywood: There are many new people that are getting involved with fields like organizing, modeling, and photography, but fail to grow because of their lack of understanding. From your experience, what did you learn was the biggest mistakes a person could make while trying to start a business and what do you hope people learn from you as you continue to build your legacy?

David: Just be yourself, don’t try and act as something or someone you’re not. You should be okay and pretend to spend some of your own money to get things rolling. Study social patterns, listen to others but trust your instinct on people you’re working with. And it is absolutely okay to be a nice guy, or be charitable, no one will think less of you. Be nice, be decent.

Internet Hollywood: Thank you for the interview, David!
