Internet Hollywood: Hey Mandii! It’s always fun interviewing you for InternetHollywood.com. You have always been a supportive person and I appreciate all of the love you been showing. The new year wouldn’t be right without getting the inside scoop on what you got going on. How did you celebrate the ball drop on new years and did you set out any goals that you feel must be completed this year?

_

Mandii: I brought in 2019 at a friends house with my boyfriend. It was low key and that’s what I like. I have many goals set out for this year, but I’m not one of those people who make a New Years resolution. I tend to go with the flow.

_

Internet Hollywood: What are some of the things that you are working on and what are some things that you have in mind that you would like to get done?

_

Mandii: I run a page on Instagram called @NudeEnglandModels It is doing very well. I may be turning that page into a magazine. Magazines take a lot of work and dedication, so I want to make sure I’m ready to handle the task when the time comes. I’m also working on building an even stronger portfolio this year. I’m hoping to branch out and work with some new talent.

_

Internet Hollywood: You have collaborated with many photographers and participated in many group shoots and fashion shows as well. Having that kind of experience, what would you say benefited you the most as an independent model and what was the biggest challenge you had to face?

_

Mandii: As an independent model, the biggest challenge I face is finding new talent to work with. I have to do all the searching on my own. I don’t have an agency telling me where to work and who to work for. I have to make my best judgement. Sometimes, the wrong decision is made and it can be overwhelming. Being an independent model has its ups and downs, but I am so proud to say I’ve done it all on my own. Being independent means I don’t have to form to anyone else’s standards, only my own. And I really like having control over my own finances.

_

Internet Hollywood: Plenty of times we have heard pretty crazy stories about models that go through bad experiences with photographers. I actually had some models tell me they were afraid to continue pursuing modeling after hearing all of the stories. What have you learned that helped you avoid going through those experiences now and what do you feel all other models should keep in mind to help stay safe as well?

_

Mandii: One thing I have learned is to always bring an escort with you. If a photographer doesn’t want you to bring an escort, that’s a huge red flag. I always do background checks. I also bring a contract.

_

Internet Hollywood: Last question, It isn’t hard to tell that you may be talented in other things that you don’t publicly express in the career field that you’re in. Is it possible that people will get more from Mandii Jean besides modeling in the future?

_

Mandii: With my graphic design background, I hope to be putting my skills to the test for the magazine I plan on creating. I’m also a huge crafter. I love to make key chains and bracelets by metal punching words and names on them. I also do abstract acrylic paintings.

_

Internet Hollywood: Thank you for the interview, Mandi!!
