Internet Hollywood: What’s good Courtney?! It’s been a while since we did an interview for InternetHollywood.com. I’d like to welcome you back to the Internet Hollywood universe and thank you for giving me some time out of your busy day to answer some of my questions. How are you enjoying 2019 so far, and what are some of the things you are currently working on right now?

_

Courtney: 2019 is off to great start. 2018 had its ups and downs. Dealt with some health issues on the downside but finalized the adoption of our three beautiful kids.

_

Internet Hollywood: Congratulations! How has your vision grown since the day you first started doing photography and what kinds of photos are you more interested in doing now that you’re far more experienced before, and what’s your rates?

_

Courtney: When I first started I didn’t really have a vision. I did some photography when I was in college but that was as a means to get references for my drawings. When I launched SEVEN15 Photography it was to expand my graphic design business. At the time I was working on a project for the Simoniz car wax company and I wanted to throw my hat in the ring for their calendar project. So I was mostly shooting glamour photography. Since then I’ve learned more about Portrait photography, Glamour Photography, Wedding photography, Boudoir photography and Art Nude photography. I’ve gravitated to Portrait and Boudoir photography. Boudoir photography has become the more lucrative part of my business and I absolutely love creating with my clients. In 2019 I am looking to get back into publication and expand my conceptual art projects. Anyone looking to collaborate feel free to check out the website email me hit me up on Instagram. My rates are reasonable.

Internet Hollywood: Seven15 Photography is known to a lot of talent in the New England area for the awesome photo shoots that you do. Will there ever be a chance your transition into doing films and things like music videos since it’s very popular now?

_

Courtney: I’m always amazed at the creative videos that I come across online, but that’s not my lane. I am however training myself to do promo videos for the business. We’ll where things go after that.

_

Internet Hollywood: An experienced photographer such as yourself understands the importance of quality and what it takes to catch the people’s attention with great content. They also know that bad work could really impact their image among the general public. With that being said, how do you know what to look for during the process of editing images and how do you define the meaning of quality and know when you’re actually finished with the work you’re doing?

_

Courtney: My process starts well before I even pick up my camera. I come from a commercial art and graphic design background so my traditional art mind takes over and I plan my shoots with a few things in mind to begin with. Things that I want to work on to make myself a better artist such as directing my subject better, what story am I telling on this project, how can I get better at using light. I’m thinking about all these things before every shoot. During the shoot, I’m working on connecting with my subject so that we can create the best images that we can. And once we’re done now comes selecting of images. The things I’m looking in my selection are framing, clarity, creativity, mood and how does the image make my subject look. At the end of the day if someone hates the way they look in an image that’s bad business for me.

_

Internet Hollywood: Last question; looking back at the year 2018, would you say you satisfied with how everything turned out? And now that you’re in the year 2019, what would you say changed about yourself now since the day you started?

_

Courtney: The beginning of 2018 was kind of rough. I was in and of the hospital for a couple of months and I spent most of the summer just healing and try to get better. I started shooting again in the fall and really got back into the swing of things in December. 2019 is looking to be a year of nonstop work and just getting better as an artist.

_

Internet Hollywood: Thank you for the interview, Courtney!
