Internet Hollywood: Happy New Year Raven! I am definitely looking forward to hearing all of your plans for this year. I’m sure everyone would agree that all of the content you put out last year was truly magical. How has your new year been going so far?

Macabre: Haha well I’ve never been one to mince words as I tend to be optimistically cynical, but so far my year has been going pretty decent. I’ve got some upcoming projects to be excited about and I’ve got a trip planned for Miami’s famed South Beach area in April. Also, I’m single and feeling myself, so hey single girls out there, what’s up? (haha)

Internet Hollywood: I honestly feel you mastered the art of editing photos with dope effects that captures everyone’s attention. What are your favorite effects to use in most of the pictures you edit?

Macabre: Well, I really try not to use any sort of prepackaged effects. What you see is usually what I paint in or edit in and if I do use an action in photoshop I’m tweaking the hell out of that action post. Sometimes I do get a little cocky and like to say “I can do what you can do but can you do what I can do?” Haha 😉

Internet Hollywood: What is your favorite style of shooting?

Macabre: Oh damn, that’s a hard one, I’m constantly switching styles or doing this and that, I think if you look through my stuff, the one thing you can’t do with me, unlike other photogs, is pin me down to one genre or style. But my faves would have to be epic stuff I can paint, cosplay, dark art, and classic nude.

Internet Hollywood: What was the hardest photo you ever edited and how long did it take before you finished it?

Macabre: Its never really been super hard, I’ve been an artist my whole life so certain things come easy to me. With that said I find the most challenging thing is “how can I do/fix that and make it look real?”

Internet Hollywood: Have you ever thought about going beyond doing photography to do films, and if so, what kind of films would you like to do?

Macabre: Oh, holy hell yes. One of my dreams is to be a music video director as well as direct little cheesecake erotic vignettes. I’m constantly looking at styles and how things are shot and framed and lit. If I had a bankroll I’d be sitting here with a RED camera system, 10k in lighting and be one happy creative fool.

Internet Hollywood: who are some people that you would like to work with that you haven’t worked with yet?

Macabre: For the most part I tend to be a bit anti social. I’m not hunting down models and begging for shoots like some. People come to me. With that said tho? I’m dying to shoot my friend Rosalyn Sara Brown (instagram.com/thatchickpro), we’ve gotten quite chummy and it’s only a matter of mobility as to why we haven’t shot yet. As for who I really wanna work with (in a general sense) I’m looking forward to shooting more of the commercial type models rather than just the people I vibe with, this is my career and sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. I think I’ve earned enough art/street cred and suffered for it, to sell out a little bit.

Internet Hollywood: Last question; what are some of the projects that you are working on now?

Macabre: Well, I’ll be helping out Bella Vendeta on her new erotic film with my photography and general know-how. Also, I’m heading to Miami with my friend Kim of Europa Photography in April to meet up with my old friend Sheri Soto and get some of those glam commercial models so if you’re a glam level Miami model and you’re reading this? Get at me 🙂

Internet Hollywood: Thank you for the interview, Raven!
