~*~*Interview /w O’Merta*~*~

Internet Hollywood: It feels like it’s been forever since we last talked O’Merta, so thank you for giving me the green light to put together this interview. It’s definitely something that is long overdue. We have finally entered a brand new year and the ice will soon be cracking as the weather heats up in New England. What has been your main focus since the beginning of this year started and what are some of the things you are working on now?

_

O’Merta: My main focus is making the “Omerta or Murda” mixtape a classic. I want to this project to be something people can relate to. I wanna be remembered as great, ya know. Not like the rest. It takes a lot of time to be great but my story will speak for itself.

_

Internet Hollywood: You have always been one of those rappers that focuses on painting the picture of your experience in a way people understand the strong messages you are trying to send and that has never changed for years. Will you be continuing to bring that style of rap to your listeners throughout this year or should they also expect different kinds of sounds to come out from you as well?

_

O’Merta: Yea, you can expect that sound and also more of my lyricism side.

_

Internet Hollywood: You have always had a story to tell and you never really hesitated to be them out to the public. Was it hard for you to release that kind of material to the public before you decided to or was this something you always saw coming?

_

O’Merta: I’ve never been the type of person to hide what I feel. I put my life into my songs. I express all my thoughts, emotions, past & present situations. I want the fans to know there is somebody that goes thru or went through what they have.

_

Internet Hollywood: What would you say has changed about your music since you first picked up a pen and is there certain fears that come with pursuing your career as an independent artist?

_

O’Merta: Everything changed. I been writing music since 13-14. My favorite class in school was English so learning how to put words together to express myself really separates me from other artists. Every time I write I’m competing with myself. Only fear I ever had was losing my voice and til than Ima keep chasing my dream

_

Internet Hollywood: I think everyone knows that’s familiar with your work wants to know this, when will you be doing another music video and will we ever see you do any featured in the future?

_

O’Merta: A couple videos will be released soon followed by the mixtape. I’ll have an exact date for the mixtape soon. As far as features you can expect some features from a couple artist from Hartford. Dont wanna say names just yet but the fans gon love it.

_

Internet Hollywood: Looking back at the year 2018, would you say your happy about how things turned out and do you feel anything has changed about you now that we’re in a new year?

_

O’Merta: Yea I feel 2018 was a good year. I accomplished many personal goals and I’m satisfied with the outcome. Many things have changed since I released music. I’ve become more business savvy with my career and how things should be this time around.

_

Internet Hollywood: What are your main focus and top goals for this year and what’s your thoughts about today’s music; good or bad?
