~*~*Christmas /w Hailey Nakaya*~*~
Internet Hollywood: What were your favorite Christmas movies to watch as a child growing up?
Nakaya: My absolute favorite Christmas movie from my childhood (and still is to this day), is How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Some of my other childhood favorites are Home Alone, A Charlie Brown Christmas, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and Frosty the Snowman.
Internet Hollywood: What are your favorite Christmas movies now that you’re a young adult?
Nakaya: I love the classics, but comedy has a special place in my heart. A few of my favorites now include Four Christmases (so relatable), A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas, A Christmas Carol, Elf, and of course, The Year Without Santa Clause! How the Grinch Stole Christmas will always be my number one favorite, though.
Internet Hollywood: Imagining ourselves with the ones we love is the most heartwarming feeling life has given us. How will you be spending your Christmas this year?
Nakaya: This year, my family will be holding our life-long tradition. Every year on Christmas Eve, my entire family gathers at my house. My siblings, grandparents, aunts & uncles, cousins, and very close family friends all come together to celebrate. I love it! We make our plate, sit around the table, say grace, and feast! After that, we exchange our gifts. Secret Santa and Yankee Swap are our go-to’s. Games, movies, storytelling, and all types of shenanigans happen after the gift exchange!
Internet Hollywood: You have a lot of presents wrapped up in your house. If you don’t mind sharing; who are some of the people you bought presents for this year and are you done shopping?
Nakya: Well, being in college and having bills to pay leaves me with a tight budget so I really had to narrow my list down. I shopped for my parents, my assigned sibling from Secret Santa, my special someone, and my adorable nephew. I am done shopping! I keep my eye out all year round for awesome gifts, instead of leaving it all for the last minute. I put so much thought into the gifts I get for people, and I love seeing the look on their face when they open it!
Internet Hollywood: What would you say is the best present you ever got on Christmas?
Nakaya: The best present I ever received on Christmas was my very first Pandora bracelet. I’ve collected many charms over time, all from people who care about me. What I love most about it, is that each and every charm has a story behind it. It’s unique, and no matter what the monetary value of it is, I will always consider it priceless. Gosh, I miss it.
Internet Hollywood: Will you be cooking at all?
Nakaya: My parents will do most of the cooking, but I’m sure I will be helping out. Help could mean anything ranging from prepping, actually cooking, taste testing, or supervising. I hope I’m the taste tester because I love food. Food is life.
Internet Hollywood: Last question; Many models told me they were aiming to do Christmas shoots this year. Will you be doing the same?
Nakaya: It crossed my mind. I want to so badly because I have lots of ideas I’d like to try and play around with. Unfortunately, I’ve been so busy with schooling I haven’t had time to plan anything. I will definitely be taking pictures with my phone and camera and sharing them with my fans and followers, though!
Internet Hollywood: Thank you for the interview, Hailey!
