Internet Hollywood: Welcome to the dome of the Internet Hollywood universe and our very first interview together Brent. Thank you for accepting the invitation to do this interview with me. I definitely appreciate that and I’m glad to share some of the questions I have with you. We’re going to begin with a simple question that I ask everyone when we first start off; could you explain who you are, where you from, and what you do?

_

Brent: Hi My name is Brent Fennell and here is where I have to try to explain myself. How can I explain who I am when I can not even really explain it. I know. I am an artist but that is just the tip of the iceberg. I have many layers just like my art. I just love to create. I am an old school thrash metal kind of guy but I love all kinds of music as well. I am open minded. I like the be centered and see everything around. To me that makes you be better artist and better person and it fits me well because Brent is old English for steep mountain. I am a Gemini there for I am a Twin. My lucky number is 22. same as my birthday. So sometimes it is yes it hard to explain when I am not creating and making magic. Sometimes I get lost in thoughts. I was also adopted at birth in 1972. I was born 3 months early so that adds to the mix. So yes I have many layers when my “real” mother and father took me home to Huntington Massachusetts, I have been a hilltowner for most part. I love it here. Moved to Pittsfield once. Never again. I do not like cities. To many people. Sometimes I don’t to well with crowds. I am a cook at a place that my parents and I owned or 15 years.. And that is another story. But as for my creative outlet. I draw, not as much anymore tho. I paint, I have over 100 paintings that can fill a gallery. I do digital art magic which I call it Trip-O-Vision. Name says it all. I am a photographer. One of my gifts as a photographer is I an capture faces and images in nature. Like spirits and such. It is not a rare thing for me. Like it happens a lot. I am poet I ten to write a lot at times through out the last 20 years. I like to cook as well. Nothing fancy. I just love to create.

Internet Hollywood: What inspired you to want to do artwork and when did your journey as a photographer start?

Brent: What inspired me to do art. Simple. My life growing up,. I knew I was different .. Having my elementary telling me I was great at 8 years old and 80s thrash metal album covers. My Journey as a photographer started in 2000 with my first digital camera after almost a decade of drawing and painting. I was needing something new and I realized I had a gift. Some say I have a great eye. I see what I see and I capture it.

_

Internet Hollywood: You’re artwork is very detailed an seems a bit rare, in its own unique creative way, and it seems like the meanings are deeper than just photos. Do you encode your own meanings behind the things you create? And if so, does your emotions or personal experiences influence the way you draw?

_

Brent: Thank you for mentioning that my art is unique. That is my goal.. I did not want to be a cookie cutter artist doing the same thing over and over again. No offence to any other artist. I wanted to the viewer to say hay that reminds me a Brent Fennells painting.. Not the other way around, and to be honest, I never really studied art. Most part is was self taught. Almost like I knew what I was doing same with photography. No formal teaching. Everything with eye. I am a very deep person… so yes a lot of times my art is meaningful and sometimes I paint tributes. Art equals heart and my motto since my journey with my crafts is The beauty of art is the beauty in and I try to create that. But then I do like my trippy stuff that not person will see it the same. That’s why I love art. Everyone sees there own way and people see beauty in my art. And that influences me to keep going no matter what. My journey is not over.

_

Internet Hollywood: How hard it for you to learn how to use a camera and now that your more experienced what are your favorite kind of pictures to take as a photographer?

_

Brent: To be honest with you I need an update been using my same canon 50d since 2010 my photography has been on hold in a way. Not the right tools. But I’m slowly getting backing back into it. Got a computer and screen monitor. I am about to rock and roll. But back to the question.. Each time I upgraded I adapted fast. Like I said, I have no formal training. I do everything by sight and how it feels. Kind of magical. I would like to use the term evolved instead of experienced because everything I do is almost experimental if that makes sense to you. As for favorite kind of photography that I like to take…to many to list. But I am drawn to nature and modeling.

_

Internet Hollywood: What kind of services do you offer (as a whole) and what rates do you charge for those services?

_

Brent: As of right now I am trying to rebuild. Getting married and having a beautiful daughter.. Up and downs in life. But I am getting back on track, getting the right tools so I can get back into it. I have done a lot of weddings. I would like to get back into it but not full swing. And I want to get back into do model photography any other photography opportunities . As for rates. I need to adjust. I do not know what is the right rate. Sometimes it is not about the money. I donate a lot of my art. As for my art. I paint portraits, animals, scenery, surreal, abstract, figurative nudes and more.

_

Internet Hollywood: What is your goals for the year 2019 and are you working on any projects right now?

_

Brent: My goals for 2019 is to get my name out.. To share and create art. Finish my website which I have 1000s of images to post. Yes I am prolific. To continue my artistic journey to fulfill my dream. My Dream is to create all the time. Destiny. That’s why I never Gave up because I know I have this gift and I want to embrace it. I want to do more model shoots and get more creative. I want to get edgier.
