Bon Appétite: Jennifer MacPherson and her family whips it up for Thanksgiving; (turkey, stuffing, green bean casserole and turnip)

Topic of the Month (Thanksgiving) – I may be a little late covering some of the Thanksgiving celebrations but it has been going great since I started covering it. I never really dig to deep into traditional holidays but it has been widely celebrated by many people i connected with. Actor and Event Entertainment Professional Jennifer MacPherson was one of those really chill people I had the pleasure in featuring back on the site because of the cool pictures she shared on Facebook. Her family threw down in the kitchen!

I asked Jennifer for the inside scoop and she gave us a load of info to hold onto about her families celebration of Thanksgiving. Here’s what she said:

“My Aunt made the mashed potatoes, I brought asparagus (which my aunt refuses to eat because she still thinks anything green is gross) and my mom made the turkey, stuffing, green bean casserole and turnips. The turnips are family tradition from my great grandma – we mash them with nice sweet carrots to balance out the bitterness. Plus it makes them brighter and more festive looking!”

She continued:

‘My husband and I brought my dog with us – sometimes I think my mom is more excited to see Bowie than me! It was a small, laid back Thanksgiving at my mom’s place”

I first seen the picture while browsing through my wall on my Facebook newsfeed. After that I got in touch with her and asked if she would be interested in having this shared on my website and she said yes. I’m definitely glad she did. Her family did they thing!!!
