Filmmaker Michele Plunkett talks about her Halloween plans, attending a horror film festival, her haunted experience, and more!

Topic of the Week (Halloween) – Internet Hollywood’s topic of the week has triggered a wave of interviews that will be getting published on the website throughout the entire third quarter of the month. I have been reaching out to many talented people to get the inside scoop on their holiday plans by asking them similar hot topic questions about Halloween. I caught up with filmmaker Michele Plunkett to get the inside scoop on her plans and she gladly filled me in. Enjoy the interview!

Internet Hollywood: What’s up Michele?! The counting is on until Halloween and many of people’s plans have been revealed to me for Internet Hollywood. I have made an effort in finding out what everyone is doing for Halloween and it has send me on a quest that doesn’t look like it’s going to end anytime soon. LOL. What are some of your plans for Halloween? Will you be dressing up?

 

Michele: I am great Justin! Well 4 days before Halloween I am attending the S.O.S. Indie Horror Film Fest Presented by Southern Ohio Screenwriters. The reasons why is we remade the second episode Dead Survivorz – Resurrection. It was selected by the festival to which I must attend. While I am there I may partake in their costume contest. I don’t have a general plan of what I want to be.

 

Internet Hollywood: You definitely know what it’s like in the realm of horror. You work on films and put together projects with a lot of up and coming talent. Are you planning on dabbing into horror a lot more in future projects to come with films?

 

Michele: Yes I will be. Me and my Editor Ryan Lohman are working on a psychological Horror called The Ryde, Starring Keri Marie Carlson and Gary Pettinella. We can’t give the story away as of yet. The other films which are completely cgi or 3d animated if you will are in the works. I am helping in some of the prop a scenic work in Ryan Lohmand “Agartha Falls” And my episodic sci-fi thriller suspense “The Rise” Both are before and after apocalyptic disasters with unlikely heroes.

 

Internet Hollywood: What are some of your favorite horror movies to watch and what horror movie character terrified you the most when you were growing up?

 

Michele: Let’s start with the movies that actually scared me. Salems Lot, the original” Halloween” “Friday the 13th ” Anabelle I really liked Carrie, Nightmare on Elm St, All Insidious.

 

Internet Hollywood: Have you ever been through a haunted experienced or witnessed anything out of the ordinary?

 

Michele: Yes! I was being taken care of by a family while my grandmother was in the hospital. I watched people walk thru walls and a woman’s voice woke me up calling me in the other room where there was old furniture. On kent Road in Wappingers falls NT I use to live in 200-year-old brown house where I was waken up in the middle of the night with a girl sleeping with back turned to me. She turned over and put her hand on my face inwhich I screamed myself back to sleep.

 

Internet Hollywood: last question; what were some of your favorite candies to eat on Halloween and is there is a certain kind of food you like to make around this time of year?

 

Michele: Snickers and pumpkin pie everything.
