Internet Hollywood: What’s up Christina!? We have finally stepped into a brand new year that will be filled with a lot of challenges for us all to face. I have talked to many talented people and discussed their career plans for the beginning of the year. I definitely look forward to seeing some of your answers to my questions. How has the new year been going for you so far?

Costello: So far so good! Besides for the flu, haha. Isn’t it wonderful we can do interviews on the Internet now so I’m not spreading I’ve been working on a debut ep for my band, CC and the Sound. We have a music video coming out later this year as well. 🙂 I also recently was signed to an agency, (Model Management Group in New York!) and got my new headshots back! I’m excited to (hopefully) work a bunch this year!

Internet Hollywood: What would say you left behind in 2017 to succeed in 2018?

Costello: I started really focusing on my career by donating as much of my spare time as possible to create things. I wake up, go to work, and as soon as I’m home I am either writing music, taking vocal lessons, or rehearsing monologues.

Internet Hollywood: When did acting and modeling become something that interested you enough to want to make a career out it?

Costello: I’ve always wanted to since I was about six. But I didn’t have enough faith in myself to really try for it until I was about 18.

Internet Hollywood: What are some of the first steps you took to get started and what do you feel helped your career the most?

Costello: My aunt is a stunt actress in Los Angeles, so she really showed me the ropes when I was starting out. She explained to me what a headshot was and what I needed to have before I could start auditioning. I took a lot of classes and was a part of a lot plays, I think those experiences really helped me with my technique. My passion is probably what’s helped me the most, though. I don’t like taking No for an answer, so I continuously put myself out there.

Internet Hollywood: Are you currently working on any projects?

Costello: Right now I am focusing on finishing my band’s ep, but I have a couple of projects lined up so far in the next couple of months. Once I am actively working on them I’ll be able to share more. 🙂

Internet Hollywood: I believe I saw a few pictures of you dressed up for something called Granite Con. Could you explain what that was about and how you got involved?

Costello: Granite con is a really cool convention that happens in Manchester, Nh. An awesome comic book company, HB comics, needed someone to cosplay one of their characters at conventions. So I get to dress up, talk to people, and try to get them into the comics. It’s a lot of fun!

Internet Hollywood: What is your favorite theme to do when it comes to photo shoots and what do you look for in photographers that you choose to work with?

Costello: I really like trying new things. One of my favorite things is a story-driven shoot, which I think comes from my love of acting. I like to have a character to portray. I really just look for people who I’m comfortable with and who are willing to tell a story with their lens. I’ve been fortunate enough to have worked with many many talented photographers that have pushed me to be a better model, and who were patient with me when I didn’t know what I was doing when I started out. Haha.

Internet Hollywood: last question; what is your main focus now that your at the beginning of a new year?

Costello: My main focus is definitely hustling hard. I want to work as much as I possibly can with my new agency so I can build an awesome resume. I also want to finish up this EP so I can start playing some shows! That will be one of my focuses this year as well. Putting myself out there and pushing forward.

Internet Hollywood: Thank you for the interview, Christina!
