Model RobynScreams discuss her plans for 2018, modeling, hosting group shoots, possibly working on magazine submissions, the origins of her name and more!

Beyond The Lens – Independent Massachusetts model RobynScreams had a lot of things to share in an interview we recently wrapped up this week. I contacted the model in late February and asked if she would like to do an interview, then I wrote up a few questions, stored them in a private message, then sent them to her as soon as I could. I just recently got all of her answers back and I’m happy to share what we discussed with you all. Enjoy the interview!!

~*~*Beyond The Lens /w RobynScreams*~*~

Internet Hollywood: Hey RobynScreams! Welcome to the Internet Hollywood universe. It’s exciting to finally be able to ask you a couple of questions. We have been friends through Facebook for a while now, so I thought it would be fun to get the ball rolling as soon as I had the time to. How have things been going for your career so far in 2018?

RobynScreams: I am so excited to finally chat with you! It’s been a while and we haven’t bumped into each other yet at any events, but that is definitely at the top of my list to accomplish this year. I am also hoping to be able to host more group shoots as well as schedule more “me” time. I haven’t done much in the way of modeling lately. Just a few sessions for Inebri-Art in Plymouth. One of my favorite groups to model for. So it’s been slow but it hasn’t been forgotten. I have a bunch of concepts brewing in my brain. As well as people I look forward to collaborating with.

Internet Hollywood: Being an independent model has become so popular to dreamers willing to take the first step to start their journey. When did your modeling journey begin and what made you stick to it at times it got hard?

RobynScreams: My modeling journey started after I moved to East Boston, I was going to school for historic preservation and met so many people that were exploring all different art mediums. I have always been fascinated by all art forms and wanted to explore making sets, using scenery that was appealing to me. Mostly derelict and decrepit buildings are what I am drawn to. I like to experiment with combining my love for architecture with my abstract thoughts and creating something that is pleasing to the eye or sparks discussion. I love concepts that are edgy, debatable and make you think.  I’m always thinking of different sets, shoots, and pursuing new artistic abilities as well as people to collaborate with. What keeps me going is working to create something whether or not you know what the outcome will be as well as meeting creative people along the way.

Internet Hollywood: You have a collection of photos that show you modeling in different styles. One of the coolest ones I have seen was the cosplay one you did acting out Sweeny Todd. What was the motivation behind that photoshoot and is cosplay your favorite style of shooting or is it something else?

RobynScreams: Most of my art and collaborations are a product of the group shoots that I host. I enjoy working with others to get different views of the same subject. That shoot, in particular, was actually all improv. We were all shooting our own projects. I was literally passing thru when both the photographer and model said “jump in real quick.”  I have to say this is usually when we get the best shots. I don’t have a favorite style for shooting, I am always up for trying something new, working with new people and finding out what works and what doesn’t.

Internet Hollywood: It looks incredibly fun seeing you do those kinds of shoots. What are some of the things that go through your mind when you’re doing challenging photoshoots and what style of shooting is your favorite?

RobynScreams: I really enjoy hosting group shoots, and most everything that goes with it. Scheduling as well as figuring out a way to make sure models will show up is definitely the hardest part of hosting. The most challenging during the shoot is making sure everyone gets their chance. I don’t have a favorite style but I typically just go with the flow so to speak. It’s all about having fun and trying new things. The images we get are just a bonus.

Internet Hollywood: Are you currently working on anything right now?

RobynScreams: Just working on life, what I want to be when I grow up and how to handle a creative mind that wants to do everything. I am hoping 2018 is the year of growth for me, hoping to host more shoots, possibly some magazine submissions. Hoping for more Lori Westwood Latex to come my way. Hint hint

Internet Hollywood: Who are some of the photographers that you would like to collaborate with it?

RobynScreams: I love meeting and working with new people. I always cherish a few photogs, you know who you are. A few I would love to work with; Lisen Gonsalves, Raven Macabre, Leonardo Tillet, Schon-Ray.

Internet Hollywood: Where did the name RobynScreams come from?

RobynScreams: So, not many people know but I can scream, very loudly. It’s been recorded for a local band before. But whenever we go to concerts and such, I like to be the loudest one there.

Internet Hollywood: Last question; What is your main focus now that you’re at the beginning of a new year? Is there a main goal that you wish to accomplish this year?

RobynScreams: My main focus is me and my family this year. Really trying to figure out what I want to do with my modeling career, how to make it more lucrative, how to make more time for play/creative time.

Internet Hollywood: Thank you for the interview, RobynScreams!
