Philadelphia court clerk fired for asking Meek Mill for money during rapper’s prison sentence hearing

One of Philadelphia’s most talented artists is going through a pretty hard time while serving his 2-4 year prison sentence. We are just learning that a Philadelphia court clerk by the name of Wanda Chavarria has been fired after court administrators learned she asked Meek for money. According to Newsweek, Chavarria slipped a note during his November 6, 2017 hearing, asking if he would help to fund her son’s final college semester at Virginia Commonwealth University.

A spokesperson of the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania confirmed the termination of Wanda Chavarria in a statement she issued on Tuesday.

“The Philadelphia courts have always prioritized fairness, impartiality, and the highest ethical standards. The courts fully expect all employees to conduct themselves in a principled and professional manner so as not to infringe upon the neutrality of the courtroom.”

Chavarria believed things would go in her favor because she is also from Philly, but the artist ignored her message then later was sentenced by Judge Genece E. Brinkley for violating his probation on two separate events.
