Rap artist Sax 5th carries the torch from his 100 Grams freestyle, releases a new track titled to ‘Trader Joes’

Musicians – Independent Connecticut Hip Hop artist Sax 5th is carrying the energy from his 100 Grams Freestyle with a new freestyle titled ‘Trader Joes’ that was released on October 27th.  The 1-minute track was all raw and uncut with a sound that will bring your ears back into the early 2000’s when rappers like Nasir Jones and the Bravehearts were doing their thing. Which would probably explain Sax 5th’s choice of an instrumental was that one.

The beat is an instrumental titled ‘Who U Rep Wit’ that came from 50 Cent’s ‘Guess Who’s Back’ album that featured Nas and The Bravehearts. It was honestly one of my top favorite tracks on the entire album. Hearing Nas and 50 Cent on one track together is mind bobbling and hearing it around that time was something special for Hip Hop even when a lot of people didn’t notice it yet. Hearing new emcees like Sax 5th spit as good as he did on the track echoes memories of those great times.

I learned of the release when the artist got in touch with me over messenger and sent me links to his songs. He made sure he put me onto all of his music by sending me songs along with videos and that’s when I discovered he had a newly released song. Under the description of the release, it says The Mahogany coming in a hashtag which leaves me to believe that there is a mixtape or album in the works. Soon we will be able to tell. You could check out some of his music below!
